Meet Chenae

My name is Chenae Coleman and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, MH 13479, the CEO and Founder of “Redesign Your Path”.  I am compassionate about assisting individuals create the change in their life that they want to accomplish and succeed with their efforts of developing control and direction of the challenges one can face in all areas of mental health.  It is most important to me throughout my profession to support my clients in healing and believing in themselves and the things they want to accomplish. 

While study for my B.S in Psychology from Eastern Michigan University, I decided that I wanted to have a career in an area that I will be able to help and support others and be a part of their long-term state of well-being and accomplishments.  Thereafter, I continued with my education with receiving my M.A. in Mental Health Counseling at Argosy Sarasota.  For over 15 years, I have worked in the mental health environment in a variety of settings such as inpatient care, in-home care, residential care, case management, educational setting, and private practice.  I have intense training in Trauma Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) with the International Trauma Training Institute (ITTI).  Working with individuals, couples and families gives me the pleasure of providing my therapeutic services to a diverse population that have a range of concerns and mental health challenges.  Being knowledgeable in a variety of areas it is important to me to provide a safe and supportive environment for my clients to feel comfortable to share their concerns. 

I believe that it is important to identify the connection with one’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors which I provide with the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach.  Having skills in a variety of therapeutic treatments helps me to be able to work with a variety of individuals.  I genuinely enjoy my career and I love helping others make the change they want to see, feel, and experience in their lives.
